How to change your Netflix plan. With over 200 million subscribers worldwide, Netflix is the most popular premium video streaming service by far. It’s also the only service that has three different pricing plans for streaming, and they are designed to deal with more than one person streaming on the same account at the same time, along with the resolution of their devices, particularly big-screen televisions. So should you know how to change your Netflix plan?
If you bought a new 4K TV, or if you have family members who want to watch Stranger Things on their phone at the same time you watch Bodyguard on Netflix, you might want to consider signing up for one of its higher-priced streaming plans. On the other hand, if you want to save some money, you might be in the mood to switch to a cheaper subscription. You can sign up for the service, with a 30-day free trial (not available in the US), via the button below.
You can change your Netflix plan at any time by following these steps:
- Sign in to your Netflix account.
- Under Plan Details, select Change Plan. (If you do not see Change Plan, please contact us.)
NOTE:If your account is on hold, no plan changes can be made until the hold is resolved.
- Choose the desired plan, then select Continue or Update.
- Select Confirm Change or Confirm.
A plan upgrade takes effect immediately so you can enjoy all of the added features. Since Netflix is a prepaid service, your billing date will change based on the remaining balance of your last payment.
A plan downgrade with a lower price takes effect on your next billing date. You can continue to use the features of the higher plan until your next billing date.
You can cancel Netflix at any time.
